Dinners at Hagby

Next dinnerThursday 12 November

An intimate dinner where a visiting chef invites you to one shared long table, in the historic wing of Hagby Farm.

This November, we welcome Lars Niklasson as our very first visiting chef.

For Lars Niklasson, cooking starts with the ingredients. His passion for hunting, nature and Swedish food shapes a tasting menu built on the flavours of autumn.

In November, game, mushrooms, lingonberries and apples take centre stage. Every ingredient is chosen with care and cooked with respect for both where it comes from and how it tastes.

During dinner, Lars tells you about the dishes, the ingredients and the thinking behind the menu.

The tasting menu is 2,000 kr per person. A wine pairing or a non-alcoholic pairing can be added at an extra cost, chosen on the evening.

Lars Niklasson

For Lars Niklasson, cooking has always been more than a job. It is a passion that has followed him all his life.

With a solid background in Swedish restaurants, Lars has developed a philosophy of cooking built on the quality of the ingredients, craftsmanship and respect for Swedish food traditions.

A keen hunter, he has a special relationship with the Swedish forest and what it provides. His cooking is rooted in traditional Swedish cuisine, but shaped by curiosity about new techniques, flavours and influences. It is where tradition meets innovation that Lars finds his own expression.

Lars has worked at some of Stockholm's most acclaimed restaurants, including Lilla Ego and Brutalisten. He has been a finalist in Årets Kock, Sweden's Chef of the Year, three times, and won bronze in 2024.

At Hagby, Lars serves a personal tasting menu inspired by Swedish nature, where carefully chosen ingredients, good wines and a relaxed atmosphere come together for a memorable evening.

The farm

Dinner in a historic setting

Hagby Farm lies in Täby, surrounded by open fields, forest and old oaks. Its history goes back to the Viking age, and in the 1800s Hagby was the largest farm in Täby.

The dinners are held in the farm's 18th-century wing. Up to fourteen guests gather around one shared long table for a personal, relaxed dinner.

With Dinners at Hagby, we want to bring new life to this historic setting and create a place where good food, people and conversation meet.

Frequently asked questions

Will I share the table with other guests?

Yes, and it is part of the evening. The chef's introduction to each course makes conversation easy. If you would rather dine with your own group, book a private dinner.

Can we book a private dinner?

Yes, for groups of 12 to 14 guests. Choose a private dinner above, pick a date when it is free and tell us how many will join. Smaller groups are always welcome at the shared table.

Can I come alone?

Very much so. Seats are sold individually, and the table will make you feel at home.

Is it a tasting menu?

Yes. The chef serves one tasting menu to the whole table. Tell us about allergies and dietary needs when you book, and the chef will plan around them.

What about drinks?

The wine pairing follows the menu, from Champagne on arrival to a dessert wine to finish, and a non-alcoholic pairing follows it in the same way. Both cost extra: 1,500 kr per person for the wine pairing and 750 kr per person for the non-alcoholic pairing. Each guest chooses on the evening, so there is nothing to decide when you book.

Is it a restaurant?

No. Dinners at Hagby is a series of evenings booked in advance, held on four dates in November with Lars Niklasson as our first visiting chef: one menu and one table.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel at least seven days before the dinner for a full refund. Between two and six days before, you receive credit for another dinner. Closer than that, you are welcome to pass your seat to a friend; email hello@hagbyfarm.com with their name and email address.

Welcome to the table.
